WELCOME TO CULLMAN COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION.
On behalf of the Cullman County Commission and the Parks and Recreation Department Staff I would like to welcome you to the Parks of Cullman County.
Through the leadership and guidance of the County Commission and support of a number of County Departments, it is the objective of the Parks Department to bring clean, well maintained parks to the citizens of the County that provide for a Safe, Family Recreation Experience.
Our Parks include the following:
Clarkson Covered Bridge: Exit 308 Follow US Hwy 278 West
Smith Lake Park: Exit 304 Follow County Rd. 437 to County Rd. 813
Sportsman Lake Park: Exit 310 To Hwy 31 South
Stony Lonesome OHV Park: Exit 299 Follow 69 South
The Parks of Cullman County provide facilities for various activities including camping, swimming, family cookouts, pavilion rentals, outdoor gatherings, and trails for Off Highway Vehicles, Hiking, Jogging, Walking, and mountain biking.
Additional activities and amenities include mini golf, amusement rides, boat ramps, playgrounds, and bandstands for concerts and presentations.
A number of Annual Special Events are held in the Cullman County Parks including the Independence Day Celebration, the Christmas Light Festival, the Echota Cherokee Indian Festival and many others.
The Parks of Cullman County have been provided for the residents and visitors of Cullman County and it is our hope that you will use them often and will assist us with your ideas and suggestions on how we can improve and add to YOUR Parks.
